Stunning Showa Era 4-panel painted silk Japanese Byobu (folding screen), depicting early summer landscape with mountains, waterfall, blossoming cherry trees and small houses. Signed and sealed by artist in ink. Gouache, watercolor and ink on silk. Silk border. Lacquered black wood frame with engraved copper corners and medallions showing age patina. Paper on back. Excellent condition - minor age wear overall. Japan, Showa Era, circa 1960s.
