The dark blue rim is accented with light blue trim circles. The body of the vase is decorated with a continuous scene of two horses beneath a willow tree amid a rock garden with many other flowering plants, all finely carved in light relief. A Hao Ran Tang Zhi, place mark is carved to the inset base. The finely carved, traditional, Chinese hongmu stand is included, which is decorated with four oblong cartouches, quartered on the side, featuring opposed stylized dragons. Circa Republic of China era.
