A striking Fenton Favrene "Freedom Soars" oval vase, measuring 11 x 9.5 x 4". This 2006 Connoisseur Collection piece was designed by Robin Spindler and mouth-blown in the USA. The cobalt base features Favrene glass infused with pure silver, creating an iridescent sheen. The sandcarved eagle and mountain landscape design is enhanced with hand-painted highlights, capturing a majestic wilderness scene. Limited edition of 950 pieces, this example is numbered and signed. A rare and highly collectible work of American glass artistry.
Favrene was inspired by Tiffany’s renowned Favrile glass, yet produced in extremely limited numbers due to the complexity of the process. Each piece required precise reheating to achieve the silvered sheen, making no two items exactly alike.
