A mid-century painting that captures the quiet charm of a rustic village scene, executed painted in oil onto canvas.

A cluster of brown and cream houses with sloping, dark roofs are nestle into the landscape, their forms framed by a lush green hillside under a muted blue sky. In the courtyard, a lone figure in a deep blue dress stands near a building, while a line of laundry – vivid in red, blue, and white, sways gently between posts. A slender tree with textured, leafy strokes adds rhythm and movement to the composition, while a burst of orange flowers brightens the earthy tones.

Executed in a modernist style, the work uses simplified, almost blocky architectural forms, contrasting with the more expressive handling of foliage and sky.
