It originally appeared in a French … Read more This is a 1958 French Mid-Century fashion print by the iconic Hubert de Givenchy. It originally appeared in a French magazine of the the time. It is NOT a recent reproduction print. It features a sky blue, youthful, umpire style dress. Note the bow detail at the shoulder and the matching hat. Givenchy is known for his designs that are loosely fit, comfortably wearable, and well shaped. This design has all that and more. The design is illustrated and signed by Pierre Mourgue who was one of the leading fashion illustrators in Paris in the 1920’s through the mid-century years. He widely contributed to the Gazette du Bon Ton, the premier Paris fashion magazine of early 20th century. This image is in clean, pristine condition.
