This beautiful sculpture by Martin Borja features a bronze tree with flowers and a little girl holding one of the flowers. It is all mounted on a rose quartz rock. The little girl is made of brass and the rock is surrounded by brass.
The piece stands 11" tall and 5-1/2" wide and is in good condition considering vintage. However, it would seem that the flower wrapped around her right wrist was perhaps originally held in her left hand.
Martin Borja is a Master Sculptor. Born in Santo Domingo, Ecuador and educated at the Art Institute in Quito, Ecuador, he has been sculpting professionally for over 35 years. Mr. Borja migrated to the United States early in his career to further develop his technique and broaden the market for his work. Mr. Borja's media consists of welded manganese and bronze with intermingled semi-precious stones and crystals.
