This charming faceted porcelain teacup with matching octagonal saucer is hand-painted in underglaze blue with the beloved “boys at play” (tongzi tu) motif. Each panel features children frolicking in a garden, symbolizing joy, abundance, and good fortune. The faceted design and whimsical brushwork reflect late Qing to Republic period export porcelain, c. 1900.
