An elegant pair - two Early 20th Century Cloisonné vases.
Exceptionally clean, with an unusual white ground.
6" tall, 3.5" wide at the middle, 2.25: at the base and 1.75" at the mouth.
Intricate detailing in the enamel as is the trademark of cloisonné, in gold yellow green, lavender, and deep blue florals.
Marvelous bright blue - Tiffany-esque - finish on the bottom and interior.

Chinoiserie of all varieties is a favorite of ours, having grown up in the 1970s and 80s when truly fine 18th and 19th C. oriental elements were very much in vogue. This lovely pair stood out to us for two reasons - they are immaculate, and the base color is white, which at least in our experience we have not seen very much. The resulting look is fabulous! Crisp, colorful, even elegant in a way black or red is not. Truly lovely and, we believe, timeless.
