Being from Louisiana, we are more familiar with crawfish than lobsters, so research had to be done here. This is a cast brass rock lobster or sometimes called a spiny lobster. In Japanese lore, these creatures bring good luck and longevity.
From the mid 20th century, this lobster features rhinestone eyes and a hook for hanging on the wall if desired.
