This hard to find poster features a large pencil in primary colors with silver lines and print advertising an exhibition featuring other influential Canadian artists of the mid-1970’s.

Awarded a Les Usherwood Lifetime Achievement Award by the Advertising and Design Club of Canada, Smith has created a body of work that would make most accomplished designers insecure (including envy-inducing work with the Government of Canada’s Exhibition Commission for Expo ’67 and Expo ’70)

Neville Smith has worked with renowned Canadian artist, Gerald Trottier; he spent time at Crawley Films as an animator (famous for the ‘75 academy-award winning doc, The Man Who Skied Down Everest); he worked on design for Expo ’70 in Osaka Japan; he founded his own group with fellow Canadians — Norman Takeuchi and Morris Danylewich; and he has subsequently won numerous accolades for his own work.
