Each of the glazed … Read more A break-fronted bookcase of lovely, low-waisted proportions. The upper section is veneered in burr yew wood. Each of the glazed doors are bisected with one horizontal mullion. With four adjustable shelves in each of the three sections. The cabinet back is lined with a striped, cream colored fabric. The lower section is veneered in amboyna (once referred to as East India Yew). Behind the cabinet doors of the base, each end section has one drawer. The wider center has one drawer with brass handles and one open linen press-style drawer. Possibly adapted. English, circa 1830 and possibly later. See less
