The design features a finely cast kneeling winged putto—likely Cupid—mounted on a stepped base with an unusual continuous low-relief frieze of playful cherubs among foliage.

This ornate base detail is not found on some other known castings of this model, suggesting this may be a higher-quality variant from a different foundry or intended for a more elaborate decorative suite.

Originally, the figure would have supported a square decorative frame and shell-shaped mount at the rear for holding a pocket watch (as shown in the final reference photo of a complete example). That portion is now absent, leaving an evocative fragment with rich, time-worn patina and crisp sculptural detail.

Perfect as a standalone decorative object for a desk, curio cabinet, or bookshelf, and of special interest to collectors of horological accessories and classical decorative arts.
