Uniquely creative and exceptionally nice-looking handwoven rattan and bamboo tray with a
Chinese knob goose head on one end and tail feathers on the other end. The flawless lacquered finish has preserved its almost pristine look-and-feel. Handwoven cross pattern interior with over and under woven rattan lash rim. On the underside you’ll find a diagonal cross pattern motif with a center thick rattan stake to reinforce its structural integrity. The slightly elevated platform is fashioned from a thick bent rattan ring which gives the tray a nicely finished look. The Chinese knob goose head and neck are handwoven from finely woven lacquered rattan weavers; bill is hand carved wood as is the knob on the goose’s head; eyes are fashioned from glass. Tray colors on the interior and underside are naturally aged lacquered rattan in hues of pale wheat, almond and tan. On the outside upper part of the tray and head and neck, colors are espresso brown with hints of amber underneath. The bill is pale amber with a golden undertone; bulb head is persimmon and eyes are hazel brown. This beauty measures as follows:

In excellent condition with minimal (if any) age-appropriate wear. Though the makers label is long gone, this cutie was made sometime in the early to mid 1970s by Zhejiang Handicrafts. This whimsical cutie will be the perfect boho chic decorative accent to adorn a table or vanity top and complement most any design style.
