Vintage Perko Port & Starboard Ship Lanterns – Galvanized Steel, Fresnel Glass
Pair of authentic vintage Perko navigation lanterns, manufactured by Perkins Marine Lamp & Hardware Corp. (Brooklyn, N.Y., USA) between the 1940s and early 1960s.
• Materials: Heavy galvanized steel housings with original thick Fresnel glass lenses — red for port, green/blue for starboard.
• Condition: Structurally sound with aged patina appropriate for their age. Lenses intact and vibrant. Some surface wear and oxidation consistent with decades of marine use.
• Notes: Built for commercial/working vessels, these are wired for electric use. Original maker’s plate intact on the starboard light.
These make excellent restoration candidates or striking nautical décor. Sturdy, functional, and collectible — a genuine piece of maritime history.
