A Nice Antique American Pressed Flint Glass Candlestick, Circa 1850's
Probably made in Pittsburgh or Massachusetts, circa 1845-1860's
Clear/colourless flint glass, pressed into a mould, the top and bottom half are joined together with a glass wafer. A slight ring to the glass when tapped, due to the lead in content in the glass.
Size: 3 3/4" across at the base, 7" tall.
Condition: Overall good condition. typical chipping/roughness around the socket from use and age. Typical use and age related chipping on the top socket, and base, most likely from the pontil rod during manufacture.
