A Rare and Beautiful and One of a Kind Studio Pottery Piece.
This Lidded Vessel is of the late Mid-Century period in a Brutalist composition.
This is a circa 1950s - 1960s storage jar.
The Exterior is Highly Textured, Brutalist, with a Multitudes of brown, tan & blue Glazes.
The inside is fully glazed with a brown and blue mixture of glazes with blue being the dominate color.
It is signed on the bottom with incised JT.
A Stunning Piece of Pottery.
It measures 11" tall x 5.25" wide x 5.25" deep.
With lid off, it is 7.75" tall. The lid measures 3.25" tall, including the ring handle.
There are 3 small glaze chips on the lid's edge, from age, shown in a photo.
Glaze chips do not compromise the piece. See less
