This exquisite mahogany chest is an officially licensed reproduction from Colonial Williamsburg, modeled after an American Chippendale original circa 1770, housed in the George Wythe House. Known as “CW 18,” this piece exemplifies 18th-century craftsmanship with bracket feet, fluted quarter-round column pilasters, and beautifully graduated drawers.
The chest features striking custom brass lock fixtures and drawer pulls, dovetailed drawer construction, and cock bead molding around each drawer. Solid and substantial, it stands on refined bracket feet with intricate detailing along the base and columns.
Pictured in the 1976 Williamsburg Reproductions catalog, this heirloom-quality piece blends historical elegance with meticulous craftsmanship—perfect for collectors or traditional interiors.
