The pk27 is one of kjaerholm's rarer works and was only produced for a short period until 1974.

this design combines kjaerholm's clear formal language with a choice of materials that was unusually warm for him. The supporting structure is an elegantly curved seat shell made of multi-layered laminated wood and maple veneer, resting on a base frame also made of molded bentwood and covered in maple veneer. A characteristic feature is the sophisticated suspension of the seat shell via elastic rubber elements, which provide a springy support while visually loosening the structure.

the seat and backrest are fitted with a removable, custom-fit cushion in soft, natural brown chamois leather, which echoes the geometric lines of the shell and further emphasizes them with its striking, cross-stitched buttonwork. The back of the chair maintains a minimalist form, revealing the high-quality maple veneer across its entire surface. The slightly reclined seating position and the generous width of the shell lend the pk27 a high level of comfort while maintaining a sculptural presence – typical of kjaerholm's uncompromising combination of functionality and aesthetic precision.

condition: the condition of the chair is excellent. The wood surfaces are very well-maintained, with only minimal, barely visible signs of wear. The chamois leather has been professionally and meticulously reupholstered using high-quality materials and with great respect for the original craftsmanship. The rubber elements are fully functional and intact. Overall, the piece is in excellent, ready-to-live-in condition with a museum-like appearance.
