Amazingly large, and Beautiful, cast in a thick satin milk glass bowl with a design of a neo-classic band of … Read more Amazingly large, and Beautiful, cast in a thick satin milk glass bowl with a design of a neo-classic band of swagged urns around the middle with a border of waves and fluting details. Thick satin surface with bronze chains mounted to the rim and looped to the central canopy point. The construction is brilliant, the bowl is mounted by a bronze rim with 4 chains reaching up to loop over 4 prong hooks in the canopy. To remove and clean is as simple as lifting the loops off and taking the bowl out to clean as needed.
The light is a single drop by a chain from the canopy to the lower bowl. An electrical two-socket adaptor is added to the single socket. This fixture is usually seen at grand entries or hallways, it allows a large single bulb or in this use it has a adaptor for two bulbs. The size of the bowl is 18" in diameter and 28" drops from the canopy to the bottom bronze tassel.
Original canopy and electrical socket, in good working order. Please note the chain design of circles and long rectangular links,---- terrific! See less
