Henri Gabriel IBELS Swimmers, 1897 Original color lithograph on thin vellum Signed in the plate Size 39 x 29cm The sheet bears the publisher's stamp and the lithograph is also authenticated by the dry stamp of the publisher, L'Imprimerie Chaix. The lithograph was published by Les Maîtres de l' Affiche in the Imprimerie Chaix in 1897. It was part of this eponymous portfolio which represented the reproductions of the most beautiful posters illustrated by the great artists of the time. Rare supplement sheet which was only offered to subscribers. Excellent condition, two waterstains in the right margin of the sheet (see photo) This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
