Classic 1950s Blue and White porcelain, pierced, urn shaped table lamp from China. This classic and exquisite Chinoiserie style lamp is iconic in it's design. From the bottom of the rosewood plinth to the top of its missile shaped brass finial. it can add a touch of the exotic Far East to any room. It features a horizontal floral motif that wraps the ankles and the neck in white petalled flowers and vines that encircle blue banded backgrounds. By contrast, the middle of the bulbous shaped vase-like body are two vertical quarters that have white backgrounds behind blue flowers in the foreground. they are separated by similarly sized perpendicular panels that are reticulated with tight lattice like cutouts. Blue and white porcelain sophistication that compliment a Hollywood Regency design style. Lamps such as this one are a quintessential component for a Mid-century Modern motif.
Measurements:
13 1/4" tall to the top of the porcelain and 29" tall to the top of the finial. 7" wide. 3-way switch.
