Offered is a vintage 1970s handcrafted and burnished clay picher or bud vase from Tonalá, in Jalisco, Mexico, a province renowned for its earth-tone clay and for all the pottery and ceramic art created since the 1950s.
Created in the original earthtones, this pitcher is light grey with a flower native to the region done in tones of blue and dark brown, as well as the typical black flourishes.
The pitcher measures 4" in diameter, 4.625" across from the tip of the mouth to the handle, and 5" tall.
