A solidly-built Chippendale-style armchair with a hand-carved hardwood frame. Cabriole front legs feature deep acanthus-leaf knees flowing into sculpted paw feet; matching scrollwork decorates the seat corners and shaped serpentine arms.
The seat and tall barrel-back are fully padded and upholstered in a tightly woven jacquard. The fabric shows alternating navy, crimson, and sage stripes overlaid with a pale floral damask, giving the chair a rich but balanced look.
Finished in a warm medium-brown, complementing the tapestry upholstery.
