Of … Read more A rare and high-quality English Coromandel wood traveling case (vanity box) having a lovely dark appearance similar to Rosewood. Of superior construction, the 19th c box is solid and has heft, with the original key. The nicely fitted interior compartments are in a deep blue velvet housing a near complete suite of silver, glass, and mother of pearl components with fine detailing. A button at the back of the box releases a secret tooled leather covered drawer also in a deep blue leather. Wear is consistent with age.
