A colorful and beautifully modeled French majolica asparagus server, dating 1980-1910 and made for export to the English-speaking market. The tray features a molded cradle with vivid hand-painted asparagus spears in shades of lilac, light blue, green, and rose, surrounded by a floral border in warm golden tones. This form was designed to cradle steamed asparagus and drain excess liquid, a refined combination of function and presentation.
Impressed "FRANCE" on the underside, typical of majolica production centers like Sarreguemines or St. Clément, where export pieces were often unmarked by maker but still masterfully glazed. This rare serving piece adds charm, color, and a touch of history to your table or your decor.
