The rectangular-section legs extend from the top and intersect with the lower tier, enhancing both the sturdiness and the elegant verticality of the piece. Made between 1935 and 1938 in the Hallein district of Austria—an area renowned for its distinguished woodworking workshops—this table showcases the rich grain, flame pattern, and warm tones of walnut, beautifully highlighted by the refined veneer work. Its uncommon height and graceful curvilinear profile make it a rare find today. A quintessential example of Austrian Art Deco, it combines formal elegance with practical function, while evoking the charm and craftsmanship of a bygone era.
