It was produced by British engraver and printmaker Alfred Lucas (841-1886) after the painting "The Early Riser" by E. C. Barnes. This charming 1878 Victorian print, depicting a little nightgown-clad child descending the stairs with a puppy and kitten, measures 27" x 34" overall, with an image size of 19" x 24" and is in very good, gently-used condition, as pictured.
