No chips or … Read more This is quite an unusual find- the complete four piece set of underplate, bowl, lid and ladle. No chips or cracks, but crazy crazing on the ladle, and to a lesser degree on the under platter. It hasn't graduated to "problem" status on either piece, but I'm not enthusiastic about it. While the tureen and lid are craze free, I'm recommending thorough inspections before and after each use. This is an incredible find for decor and light use. The color is purest nearly translucent white, with blue undertones. The octagonal design is vintage Mid-century and blends well with classical blue and white china. The original stickers are still on it. While knowing it's Haager is nice, the glaze tested sticker is much more interesting. That very important sticker was the first used to certify lead free glazes- verifying that its safe for use with food. Please check the pictures, my words aren't nearly as beautiful as the set itself. See less
