Offered is a rare find 1960s hand blown Chemex/Pyrex Pour Over Coffee Maker Decanter in their largest size, the 13/14 cup version. It includes the custom wood cuff and leather tie cord. This handblown version is distinct from the classic machine-made Chemex models, which go up to a 10-cup (50 oz) size. The handblown series is known for its clarity and fine workmanship, being produced in small batches by skilled glass blowers.

The Chemex Coffeemaker is a manual pour-over style glass coffeemaker, invented by Peter Schlumbohm in 1941, manufactured by the Chemex Corporation in Chicopee, Massachusetts.
This is the largest Chemex decanter ever made and has a capacity of 65 ounces (or 1922 ml), which is equivalent to roughly eight 8-ounce cups of coffee.
Material: Borosilicate glass.
Included features: Wood collar and bead with leather tie.
Filters: Uses Chemex Bonded™ Filters FP-1, FC-100, FS-100, FSU-100.

- The hand blown glass decanter is in good shape and has no nicks, chips, scratches, cracks, or fleabites. There is … moreThe hand blown glass decanter is in good shape and has no nicks, chips, scratches, cracks, or fleabites. There is some fading on the maker's mark stamp, but it is indeed the early edition with the patent stamp # and pale green color. The wood cuff has some scuffs and fading on the varnish, but they add to the vintage charm. The original leather cord was brittle and broken, so we have replaced it with a new leather cord. Any wear is commensurate with use. less
