Four finely drawn violet and white glazed peonies with gold highlights within oval white cartouches are quartered around the waist and separated by a vertical design of three polychrome floral emblems with gold highlights. The body is bracketed by a cloud and thunder meander border and a band of Ru Yi lappets with gold highlights at the top and a band of larger Ru Yi lappets and another cloud and thunder meander border at the base, just above the extended foot. A blue, six-character, Qianlong, reign mark within double blue circles is glazed to the inset base. The traditional, finely carved, zitan circular stand is included. Circa Republic of China era, no later than mid century.
