American Art Deco Machine Age Metal Paper Holder Depicting a Newsboy.
This whimsical paper holder from circa 1930, at the height of Art Deco, depicts a newsboy holding an abstract rendering of a newspaper with a lightning bolt across its cover, surrounded by a circular form with attached skyscraper style legs. The legs are joined by a horizontal rectangular bar with “paper” in capital letters, written in a machine age font. This is a great find for any enthusiasts of Art Deco design or for collectors. Additionally, it would make a whimsical objet d’art in a home or office space.
Condition: In good vintage condition with expected wear and some metal bent and blemished. Made circa 1930
