A BEAUTIFULLY DETAILED ANTIQUE MAJOLICA LEAF DISH WITH VINE HANDLE – LIKELY PORTUGUESE, C. 1880–1920
A stunning antique majolica serving dish molded in the form of overlapping grape or fig leaves, richly glazed in vibrant emerald and forest greens. The piece features a sculptural vine handle with intricate detailing and a beautifully scalloped rim. Fine leaf veining and naturalistic textures reflect exceptional craftsmanship typical of Portuguese or French majolica from the late 19th to early 20th century, likely from the Caldas da Rainha region or in the style of Bordallo Pinheiro.
A rare and decorative collector’s piece—perfect for display or entertaining.
***The back is unmarked, as is common with many majolica pieces from this era.
