This large antique leaf comes from a medieval Antiphonary, a type of illuminated liturgical manuscript used in the chanting of the Divine Office by monastic communities.
Written on vellum and featuring early musical notation—likely neumes or square-note staff notation—the page includes beautifully rendered text and chant for use during Matins, Vespers, or other daily services.
