The set was likely worn on a formal occasion, such as a wedding, in combination with a furisode kimono.

The zōri have been worn only once, as indicated by light wear on the soles. The uppers and the handbag remain in pristine condition. The handbag appears unused.

The brocade textile is woven in a luxurious Nishijin style, featuring a finely detailed scene of an imperial court procession. The motif includes traditional ox-drawn carriages, parasols, and courtly figures, surrounded by maple trees in a rich color palette of gold, silver, rust red, and deep indigo. Metallic threads add a subtle shimmer, characteristic of this refined Kyoto weaving tradition.

The set is housed in its original paulownia wood storage box, adorned with gold-printed Japanese characters on the lid. Paulownia wood is lightweight, durable, and traditionally used to store precious garments and accessories.
