A very fine antique French Louis-Philippe figured burl walnut & marble top commode, chest of drawers, circa 1840.
The commode is in excellent condition, it is made from the finest vibrantly grained walnut, to the top is the original black & white vein varigated marble. Below are four drawers each with the original gilt bronze escutcheons, which are cast as laurel wreaths, the original key is present. The drawers open & close with ease, they are clean & aroma free and offer lots of useful storage, the commode is raised on stepped bracket feet.
Condition is remarkable and all original, including the finish which has a warm mellow honey glow, no damage or condition issues, this very elegant antique French commode is ready to grace your space.
