The base has been given a newer, professionally applied black painted finish and is lightly distressed revealing the natural wood below while complimenting the contrasting top which was left natural. Note photos of the top revealing generations of use, including scratches, gouges, dried old wormholes, stains, etc. that all add aged character of this console.
