Benches, stools and small chairs, for me, have always been somewhat of an accessory piece around our home; you can never have too many. A good one fits into any space! Small or large, in and out of doors, you can move it around from room-to-room, space-to-space, to meet the need of the moment, whether it been seating or décor. This diminutive Cottage-style footstool’s frame and H-stretcher was handcrafted from solid oak wood with a burnt umber stain finish. The handwoven herringbone pattern flat reed seat was stained in a rich umber and tobacco hue that complements the frame’s stained finish. Mortise and tenon joinery provides structural integrity to the frame, while the H-cross stretcher adds stability and strength. Felt circular pads on each foot that protect floor surfaces; easily removed, if you desire. This cutie measures 14” x 11” x 11” W/D/H; seat to floor 10”; seat 13¼” x 10¼” W/D; weight 3 lbs. 6 oz. In excellent condition with age-appropriate wear that includes a few indiscernible scuffs to the wood stain finish and stained reed seat. Unknown maker. We believe this cutie was handcrafted in the United States sometime in the 1930s.

It's a fabulous looking accent piece with an element of rustic charm that will most certainly complement any décor or furniture style you may have in your home. Use it as a plant riser or for its intended purpose, footstool.
