A Very Fine Antique Mahogany Chippendale Dropleaf Pembroke Table, Philadelphia, 1760's
Made in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania circa 1760-1770's
Mahogany, with cedar and poplar secondary woods. Lip-moulded dovetailed drawer, "X" base stretcher, and "Block feet". Retains a rococo cast brass pull.
Pleasing Oxblood red colour finish. Top and leaves are solid mahogany.
Mahogany wood, with Poplar drawer linings, and Cedar drawer bottom.
Size: 19" wide, 31 1/2" deep, 28 1/4" tall. 2 leaves at 9 1/2" wide each. 37" wide fully open.
Condition: Overall very nice preserved condition. Refinish in the last 50-75 years. The brass pull in a replacement. 2 small facings of the block feet have been replaced. Typical use and wear scratches/dings, and scuffs from age and use.
