This striking large-scale triptych by acclaimed San Francisco photographer Russ Eddy captures the organic complexity of branching forms in dramatic black-and-white detail. Eddy’s work is celebrated for its intricate compositions, masterful tonal balance, and immersive scale, making it a centerpiece for contemporary interiors.
Originally purchased for $5,500 from a San Francisco gallery, this piece has been professionally displayed in a private collection.
Artist and photographer Russ Eddy is known for creating large, life-like images of trees in extremely high definition, drawing the viewer into the very forests and meadows where the trees stand. His love for trees, the natural world and photography are reflected in his choice of subjects and the meditative, meticulous way in which he creates each image. Russ photographs his subjects countless times and then using a technique he fashioned, stitches those images together to create stunning, timeless pieces that powerfully connect the viewer with the outdoors and the natural landscape.
“Buck Eye” was photographed in the East Bay at Lake Merritt in Oakland. The image is printed on archival cotton rag paper and then mounted with floater frame. 44″ H × 73.3″ W (triptych installation; each panel approximately 24″ W)
Perfect for collectors, designers, or anyone seeking a museum-scale statement piece.
