A Collection of Four English papier-mâché snuff boxes with inlaid Silver dates to the late 19th century; 1880's. The Black lacquer papier-mâché cases forms a durable but hard shell exterior. The boxes' lid are outlined by scalloped silver wire inlay with a silver shield embellishment in the centers. The boxes are black were used for snuff or pills.
