A very hard to find Vintage pair of Staffordshire Elephant spill vases/bookends. This pair was made in molds that were cast from original antique English elephant spill vases.
They were imported into the US from England in the early 1990’s. These are high quality reproductions and difficult to distinguish from the 19th Century pieces. These are porcelain and earlier pieces were pottery.
One has a miniscule “flea-bite on the vase. The other is missing a piece of foliage on one side of the vase. Each measures 6 3/8”H x 5 1/2”W x 3 1/4”D.
