Women and girls would carry these jugs on their heads resting upon a rolled scarf. This piece is in beautiful condition for age with natural patina and is a versatile vessel for styling a potted plant (as shown) or to use as a vase for flowers. Of course, it’s also a perfectly perfect decor piece all on its own. Circa early 20th century. See less
