A magnificent pair of large-scale antique copper lanterns, likely early 20th century, salvaged from an estate or urban streetscape. Their tapered, four-sided design is crowned with elegant stepped finials, showcasing restrained neoclassical detailing.
The surfaces exhibit a rich, naturally weathered verdigris patina, with soft green and bronze hues that only decades of exposure can create. Each lantern features frosted glass panels that diffuse light beautifully, giving a soft, ambient glow. Inside, one retains its brass candelabra-style fixture, offering the option of continued use with modern wiring.
Originally designed for exterior architectural use, these lanterns would make a dramatic statement as garden lights, entryway fixtures, or even as oversized interior accent lighting. Their monumental scale and authentic patina bring an undeniable air of European charm.
