Incredible detail with … Read more A large pair of solid brass dolphins with gold wash, mounted as lamps on black plinth bases. Incredible detail with fins beautifully delineated, reminiscent of those seen in classical Greek, Federal and Regency furniture and decorations. The black on the bases has a rough almost sandpaper-like texture. The lamps are very heavy and there is minor wear at the top of one lamp near the light socket that isn't visible when the shades are on. Wiring is relatively new and in good condition. Shades are included if the buyer so desires, but the inner lining of both is missing so they are definitely in "AS IS" condition. The dolphins themselves from the base to the base of the light socket measure 15". Overall height is 28" to the top of the harps. Sure to make a statement in any room, this is an impressive pair.
