The piece features an oval design with two scroll side handles. The tureen is hallmarked on the side with an emblem reading Orrington and on the bottom reading Reed & Barton, Silver Soldered, 2003E2, 8P, Orrington Hotel. Highly collectible, hotel silver is a very heavy silver plate, usually triple plated over another type of metal to make it durable for hotel and commercial use. This tureen with it's classic shape has been used and loved through the years showing age, imperfections and a slightly uneven bottom which only adds to its charm and patina.
