Traditionally, certain Cameroonian communities required women to wear pubic aprons, or "caches sexes," to conceal their sexuality until 1961. Today, this cultural heritage is preserved through elaborately beaded garments. Originating from the Mandara Mountains, some women wore these aprons crafted from small iron strips secured by fiber belts. This piece can be displayed as wall art, framed, or repurposed into a decorative pillow. See less
