Cylindrical etched floral motif glass pedestal bulb vase, light grape color. The glass is etched with vines and flowers. The top edges are ruffled and shaped like open petals.
A vintage cranberry glass rose bowl vase with an etched floral design. Cranberry glass, also known as "Gold Ruby" glass, is a red glass made by adding gold salts or colloidal gold to molten glass. The lighter pink color, as seen in the image, is achieved by adding less gold chloride.
Rose bowls were popular during the Victorian era and were typically used to hold dried rose petals (potpourri), float fresh rose blooms, or as vases for short-stemmed flowers.
