Flowers, cherry blossom branches, bamboo leaves and other chinoiserie details are expertly rendered in shades of cobalt blue on a white background.

Three bands of brass (one on the very bottom of the bowl. on on the top lip of the bowl and one on the bottom lip of the bowl's lid) add an elegant design detail to the traditional blue and white ceramic piece.

A dimensional blue flower replaces a more basic knob on top of the lid,making lifting it a thing of beauty.
