An exceptional and extremely rare lighting object designed by Aldo Tura in the 1950s, this sculpted snail-shaped table lamp fully embodies the experimental and visionary spirit of the Milanese designer, known for his works that straddle the boundaries between art and design.
Crafted from finely crafted solid wood, the body takes on the fluid and poetic form of a snail, its shell entirely covered in natural parchment (goatskin), with extraordinary textured nuances and a warm, velvety patina.
The snail elegantly holds a wood and burnished brass lantern, inside which a paper lampshade diffuses a soft, amber light, amplifying the dreamlike atmosphere of the whole.
The entire object is a masterful example of the formal and material research of Aldo Tura, renowned for his use of unusual materials and his almost artistic approach to furniture.
His creations are now exhibited in major international museums, including the Brooklyn Museum in New York, and are increasingly sought after by collectors, curators, and specialized galleries.
This lamp, a unique piece currently on the market, is not documented in serial production and is in impeccable vintage condition.
A collectible piece, perfect for sophisticated environments, everyday theatrical settings, or postwar Italian design installations.
