A rare umbrella stand with a postmodern design language and materiality.
A postmodern design. The material combinations and striking shapes are particularly notable. The sculpturally curved umbrella holder made of black-coated steel can be seen as a reference to the designs of Carl Auböck. It consists of a continuous rod whose curves form three rings that serve as holders. A lens-shaped wooden base serves as the foundation for this complex design. The umbrella holder is mounted on the base, offset by silver metal balls. An aluminum bowl with a stepped edge serves as a holder for the umbrella tips, which is prominently positioned at the center of the design.
The stand is in very good condition with signs of wear and patina.
